July BS Thread
The belt drive won't accept a stock water pump because the recess on the backing plate hits the cam gear and the square holes in the stock pump extend beyond the mount on the belt drive setup by 3/8" there would be no way to seal it.
I won't go to an electric pump because I need to retain alternator and PS, the PS is the big issue cause I would either have to fab a serious mount or buy an expensive aftermarket setup, I am running PS and Hydroboost so a reliable PS pump setup is very important.
And besides, with Procomp they have send me the wrong Rocker Arms twice and have had HORRIBLE customer service, tolerances have been WAY off on pulley center holes, size of multiple mount holes were too small for the bolts to fit, the Valve Covers have recesses that are too small to use washers on the bolts and don't even have the hole for the top center bolt. Nothing I have from Procomp has been a bolt on affair and the only thing I may be keeping for a short while is the Valve Covers, gonna go to a shorter better quality set so I can use the fully functioning factory Cruise Control.

I'm not going to try and convince you to run the procomp, I agree there stuff is junk and I don't see any up side to you running a belt drive. Just a mental exercise really, sucks to be out all that money though.
FWIW those issues seem totally solvable though if it's worth it to you.

Mental exercise, if I had a machine shop fill the holes in the Moroso backing plate and machine the recess for a stock pump impeller then I could have used a stock pump and spaced out my accessories to match, then I would have a completely useless Moroso pump.
The whole reason I got the belt drive is that the cam gear/hub allows for 20 degrees of cam timing adjustment with only having to remove the water pump.
But as I said, I had to destroy the F(&% thing to get it off and am completely fed up with anything Procomp after this, I am probably going to go shoot a bunch of holes in it and sent it back to Procomp with a very detailed F-U letter and tell them where to put their POS parts.

Mental exercise part 2, if using v-belts going electric is easy with just a PS pump and alternator. One under each head and a belt for each, works rather well since the belt is in contact with each pulley for 180 degress.
As for timing adjustment, I just did some looking, I'm surprised I couldn't find a decent quick access timing cover. But you're not doing an extreme engine are you, how often you going to adjust the cam?
A better FU might be an email with links to all the forums and such where you have told everyone about how crappy there products and service are. Course that would require you to actually bother with all those sites and post it.
I'm sure you can find a buyer for the moroso pump.
Probably going to save the Moroso pump for a later date. I really don't think sending them links or shot up parts would matter at all cause with their lack of customer service I doubt anyone would ever open the mail.
Afternoon Tim.
OddFord, you could probably make a buck or 2 off it. It isn't used right? Sell it on CL or eBay for like, $10 less than what you paid since it's been opened.

I see. Well that sucks...
On an unrelated/semi-related note, is everyone ready for the upcoming Meet? I got paid finally so I'll have plenty of moolah to make it. Just gotta drop some fuel in the bronco and not burn it all up driving there.

2. My shop is open on Saturdayz
3. Sux to be me huh?
Well it sucks we won't see you there but next time we make a meet thread keep an eye out for it. We all can make adjustments based on what everyone else is doing. If a few people would rather it be done on a weekday vs a weekend then we will do our best. We will get a meet that you can go to as well
how late is the shop open?
