Pulled motor, disassembled, cleaned, painted, new valve seals, heads back on, new cam/lifters, valvetrain together, belt drive timing set, engine bay cleaned and painted, misc parts cleaned/painted

Need to buy a new oil pump pickup as the new HP/HV pump takes a different style and need to get a rebuild for the carb I don't want to run but don't have the cash for an Edelbrock, pisses me off cause last year I had 20 Edelbrock carbs on my shelf and sold them as I expected to keep getting them from work

Well, would you like me to bring the bug? I have to pull the sending unit and see how much gas is in it (I haven't made my gas reading stick yet ). I don't remember where you live/how far you are but going to your place could be a possibility for a later day.

Ouch, we had 4 of them in our garage. All were tested and "failed" on my brothers 84 Bronco that couldn't pass emissions. He finally passed after the 5th swap and he kept those for the longest time. Sold them all 1.5 years ago right before I did a 4bbl swap on my Bronco...

How much do you have to spend? I took a peak on eBay and found 2 sorta cheap ones. They aren't in the best condition and will need rebuilds though.

This one is a little higher priced but in better condition.

Also my neighbor across the street is always working on a car. If you've got a base price I can see if he has any or knows anyone with a cheap one.

Myself and the Cats live near the Boeing Frederickson plant.
Come by and see the mess in the garage or is that garbage.
I have been working on cleaning it for 3 Mo.

Down on Canyon Road? It would be easier to come to your place at some point rather than trying to tune it in the Jimmy Mac parking lot. I only need about $20 worth of gas in the bronco and It will make it there and back no problem. The bug probably doesn't need any gas but again, I think it would be easier to take our time to poke around with it.

Here would be a lot less of a problem than in a parking lot.
Plus if needed I have my tools here.

I will come up with a carb eventuly. Have a Holley to run at the moment and with my motor being a cammed 460 with an intake and exhaust the 600CFM 1405/1406 carbs are a bit on the small side.

Got my cam timing set with the new belt drive, cleaned/painted a lot more including engine bay, about done plumbing my Hydroboost.

Found out the reason people don't do work parties for bachelor parties is that nobody shows up, only 2 have showed and due to that I am only doing the motor swap and a lot of clean up/painting/wiring and the frame splice will have to happen later as with 2 people and my bad back there's no way we could "wheelbarrow" the truck halves around. Another guy I know just got a house Monday that has a 60X40 shop and already planned to move all my tools and everything there so after that is all set up and he is moved in and ready I will buy heavy duty casters and make legs to roll around the truck halves and do the frame splice myself.

Found out why people complain about ProComp Electronics products, the belt drive timing set I paid $400 for (on sale) would not work with a stock water pump so I paid $180 for a Moroso pump that would work with it and the Moroso pump wouldn't accept ANY factory accessories cause the shaft was 2" lower than a regular pump. So tore it all off and from the tolorances on the belt drive being so off the only way to remove it was destroy it.

Going to an RV timing set under a stock cover and have $600 worth of paper weights. NOT a good day!

OK so I just looked up that timing belt, why wouldn't a stock water pump work? Looks like you just use a stock water pump backing plate?

Cause you need the dish in the back of the plate and that wouldn't clear?

Why not skip the whole belt driven water pump thing and just use electric if your doing all this?

Just curious

I'd be careful with any harbor freight tools you get. Especially if that bigass truck of yours is going on it.

my harbor freight aluminum floor jack has had no troubles except screws/nuts rattling loose. use some loctite to make sure your jack will stay together, and it should treat you just fine.
my harbor freight tranny jack is a different story that we've already told
