Can anyone tell me if this can effect the vacuum hubs? My 2012 ecoboost made a horrible grinding noise at 65 mph went away, then came back and stayed at all speeds. Then no noise on the way home.
Today, I'm hearing the electric vacuum pump "field service action" occasionally grinding under the air cleaner. It has 56,000 miles and it only gets driven occasionally. Big trip to Canada from N.IL coming up and I want to make sure the dealership gets it all. Do the hubs use the same vacuum pump or what?
Also experiencing the eradic shifting that has a "field service action"

Thanks guys!
Yes, the vacuum pump provides vacuum to the brake booster and your hubs.
