Like the engine code or the serial number? Code usually where the adapter is and serial number I'd check the side of the block somewhere.

Sticker info gone

There is a some sort of sticker there on the valve cover but its information is gone. So any help would be great. What does it say on your motors?

Serial # for the engine block is located by the drivers side motor mount you might have to take the mount off to see all of the #

If you are up looking down on the IP drive gear cover, just to the right (drivers side) of the cover there is a flat place on the block.

The block serial number is located on that flat place.

In the first group of numbers you should have either a 73 or 69.

Which ever you have will be what block you have.

Wouldn't that info be different for the trucks sold in Oz?

Another possible difference is the engine itself, here an '88 would have the 7.3, unless someone swapped in an older engine.

That's right it is an older motor. Ftrucks in OZ did not come out with oil burners till 1999 this was a 302 originally.
I bought it off the 2nd owner. He bought it from the the guy who had it from new.He was the one that put the re manufactured 6.9 with a C6 auto in then died.
I found it (F250 4WD) in a shed, it had been sitting there for 3 years because it was very hard to start with this motor in it. The guy who owned it at the time did not know anything about them and sold it to me because of this and with all receipts. I put a new glow plug relay in and starts every time , During the time in the shed it ran out of rego and now I'm trying to re register it again. that's why I need the emissions Info and its hard to get in OZ
Truck has 231000 Km or 150000 miles on it ,very clean and no rust
The only thing is it will cost a bit to run $6 per gallon here so I will probably turbo it and change diff ratios to 3.75 or something like that, 4.1 ratios at the moment.

Thanks Guys for you help engine ID number found where you said it would be. Next to the IP gear drive cover. But it has 96 as the first 2 numbers, don't know why maybe they were dyslexic.
