Hey everyone im hoping some one can help me. Whats the easiest way to remove the shift linkage from the transmission. The one that goes to the steering column? Its a c6 tranny. Thanks for the help

Unbolt the nut that holds the lower part of the linkage to the trans shift arm then pry the upper part of the linkage out of the shift arm bushing.

WD40 helps on old hard and crusty grommets when prying.

If you don't have to take out the column bushing, don't. They suck.

Ok guys thanks. I appreciate yalls help. Might have to go to the junkyard tomorrow and look for one for my 73 f100. Hope i find one that is not to hard lol.

if you are talking about the bushing, you can still get those at Ford fairly cheap, I paid 3 dollars each for them (I do get a discount though) I believe they are normally like 6-7 dollars, don't bother with a Junk Yard, part number is E0SZ-7341-B

Hey thanks ford_pickup. i just came from Ford and i was able to get the bushings for 6 bucks.
