Thanks for the links berry, I've actually read two of those already. I forgot to ask him about the oil pump, hard to try to deal with Disney world and this truck, I'm going to ask him next time he calls. But would the oil pump cause it just to get oil to one side. I'm no mechanic by any means but I would think it would get some kind of oil if it were getting to one side already. Not sure so ill ask when I talk to him again. Thanks for all your help.

It would seem to not be the oil pump. It seems to be a blockage. But I am no expert.

Haha no we back now. Just been busy was going to update Tom. But ill do it now. Before he put the truck back together I asked him to put a motorcraft oil filter on it for ****s and giggles and sure enough I'm now getting oil to both sides of the engine. I would have never thought a filter made that much of a difference.
Ticking is still their, he told me it would be around 700-800 to change the lifters and couldn't guarantee it would stop. He said he's read so much of people change lifters, cam phasers and so on and never fixing the tick until a new motor was put it so we deceide to just take the truck back and run it like it is and see if it gets worse or if not well just leave it ticking bc it's my wife's truck and she's a stay home mom so she won't be putting to many miles on it and don't feel like trading it in.

I'd do the same. Use moto filters and good oil. Maybe change it a bit more often, every 4k or so. Hopefully it will last many years like this.
