No I haven't heard from him since last Wednesday or Thursday. We left for Disney world Friday morning so I haven't really cared about it to much while on vacation but since we got back from the parks early today ill give him a call.
K just got off the phone and he said he still hasn't found the problem. He said some of the motor mechanist he deals with said it could be a slug problem but he said that's not it. He said he found two plugs behind the VCT solenoid? That he can blow through and put a tag on the other end to see if theirs any trash but other than that he don't know what else to do. Not sounding good for me. Said the program he uses everyone is mentioning a new motor which I hope it don't come to that. Any suggestions ?
Post the specifics on flat rate tech.com under the Ford section. Many current and ex-employees post here. Maybe they can shed some light. I have heard of oil starvation problems in the 5.4L when you get up in miles, but I never saw what exactly caused the problem. Most had a rattling at idle then stalling with very low hot oil pressure.

You confused me with this last post, what do you mean clam to have a fix?
I can't find the flier they sent me . Had to do with noise , clatter , phaser issues . Had to do with oil pump problems . I , am unprepared . I just had , read it ! I will look more.
Many people who thought their VCT solenoid was bad eneded up needing replacement engines due to low oil pressure. I can't recall more specifics, as I have not read these threads in a few years.
That don't sound good. He's waiting on his parts guy to come in to see if he has a fitting to fit the plugs to blow out the last two lines he sees. He said he put in a WIX filter I think the name was. I just find it funny that it just started right after he changed the plugs, COP, and oil in it
Ok he said he's removed the solenoid and he's only seeing two screens in it and looks like their should be three so he's doing some research on how many it has and if their is three where did the other one go, so I'm guessing if their is three this could be causing the plugage and could be our problem. Said he called the dealership to see if they can tell him how many screens and they couldn't answer him. Ill keep updating.
Ok nvm he called back and said it should only have two screens and e wry thing is spotless with it. Said he's going test the solenoid and double check its operating like it should. Now if this is bad will it cause no oil to the passenger side of the motor?
