Yeah, Complaining won't get anywhere... I'm normally happy to shovel, but since I'm paying them, I'd expect it to get done. Shoveling is something I never minded at home, but I refuse here unless there is some willing compensation.
Right. Perhaps some of the neighbor ladies will be appreciative.
Good afternoon everyone! It was still snowing here when I walked across to the Student Union to get lunch. Weather.gov was still saying 2-4 inches this afternoon. Radar looks like the storm is spinning back on itself and we'll get a little more yet.
I wonder if the the kids will have shoveled the driveway by the time I get home? Hmmm...
The neighbors came over and used the snowblower on what I hadn't shoveled yet. Maybe they'll do it again today?
An older, white haired man walked into a jewelry store one Friday evening with a beautiful young girl at his side. He told the jeweler he wanted a special ring for his girlfriend.
The jeweler looked through his stock and found a $5,000 ring. The old man said, "No, I'd like to see something much more special."
The jeweler went to his special stock in the safe and brought another ring back. "This one's $40,000." The young lady's eyes sparkled and her whole body trembled with excitement. The old man said, "I'll take it!"
The jeweler asked how payment would be made, and the old man said, "By check, but I know you need to make sure my check is good, so I'll write it now, and you can call the bank on Monday to verify funds. I'll pick up the ring on Monday afternoon."
Monday morning, the jeweler called the old man saying, "There's no money in that account!"
The old man said, "I know, but let me tell you about my weekend!"
It is really odd but even the neighbor across the street looked at them for us and said they were new decals. We need to talk one day soon about options for down there.
Certainly. Let me know.

Mine took longer this morning. I did stop and put some fuel in the truck.

We got about 4" of snow total I would say. The roads out of town are a mess though. Pretty much ice covered.
I didn't hit a red light at the stoplight today so even with the snow I made it to the shop in about a minute!
The snow I don't mind. The ice sucks.

So, I got about 2 hours of driving and 60+ miles for nothing. It is Tanya's first day at her new job so she couldn't miss it, plus if school is closed so is daycare...
Yuck! How was her first day?

I don't know how much we got overnight, but it looks like another few inches for sure. We maybe got 8'' total.
Sounds like the snow removal at the shop. The company they used this year sucks.
Isn't that nice when things work like that, Chris?! I experienced similar feelings of joy, when we upgraded chainsaws last summer at the farm. Going from a small home-owners grade saw to a medium sized commercial opened my eyes to the things a good running saw can do!
I fired up the snow blower after I got home from work today and that thing really gets after it with a good working carb! That sure is nice.
I'm a little jealous. After some shoveling, I needed a break. So I decided to see if I could figure out why the snow blower stopped working last time.
some oil leak dripped into the belts and drive area, belt slipped, and the drive wheel was oily. Wiped it all off, put the belt on. boom. in business awesome.
Moved a bunch of snow and all of a sudden it stopped running. pulling it over slightly, I believe I'm hearing the valve drop on to the piston as the piston moves downward. AWESOME.
Anyone got a 7hp motor with dual output shafts laying around? (current model is a tecumseh hsk70)
I was happy all the government and school workers were home. Most of the idiots were off the road and there was NO traffic tonight! A little reward for the constant shower today.
