So, I got up at 3:30, started the truck to let it warm up a little. Plowed the driveway, and left for work at 4:50. Got to Lino Lakes and had to turn around, school was closed at 5:30. So, I got about 2 hours of driving and 60+ miles for nothing. It is Tanya's first day at her new job so she couldn't miss it, plus if school is closed so is daycare...
Good morning everyone! Depending on which media source you listen to, we had either 4 1/2 inches or 6 1/2 inches overnight and it's still snowing. No school for kids today. Katie is working from home.

I think Mike wins the award for worst commute today! Good luck with all the hoodlums in the house. Make sure you have an ample supply of Duct Tape!

Good morning Mike! Well that didn't go as planned. So why is daycare closed if school is closed? Around here the daycare people make out like bandits on a snow day because of all the drop-ins with school being closed.

Good morning Michael!
Good Morning Troy.
Alot of daycares operate on that policy. it takes the decision and liability off of them whether or not to close. I talked to our daycare a couple weeks ago about their snow policy (we haven't had a snow day since starting Noah there). The director looked at me funny and wasn't sure what I was asking. Once she understood, she said they never close and they would be happy to take the older two children if needed as well.
It would be a perfect day to be out snowmobiling. But, I do need to take mom in this afternoon for her follow up visit from her second cataract surgery yesterday.
Morning guys! Snowed here all night again, and our apartment building has yet to be shoveled out from YESTERDAY. The only shoveling that got done yesterday is when I grabbed my shovel and pushed two shovel widths away from the front door to the building, so it could get opened at least. I don't know how much we got overnight, but it looks like another few inches for sure. We maybe got 8'' total.

Yes it would be perfect out there. The sun is out now and the roads are melting off nice.

Hey Jake! Sounds like some apartment buildings I have lived in before. Very frustrating!
Good morning Jake. Someone needs to complain to management I guess.

Yeah, Complaining won't get anywhere... I'm normally happy to shovel, but since I'm paying them, I'd expect it to get done. Shoveling is something I never minded at home, but I refuse here unless there is some willing compensation.
