differential

2002 ford f150 xl
what fluid should be used on differential fluid change ?
is it straight drain and fill plug.hex

I didn't notice the search button was broken.

75w-90 for front. Drain and fill plugs. Make sure to remove fill plug first.
75w-140 for rear + 4oz friction modifier. - Remove fill plug, then remove diff cover. There is no drain plug.

I know mine has a tag on the diff. that says what kind to use.

FORD recommends synthetic in the rear. Old spec was 75 w 90 , new spec is 75 w 140 (rear) . Striaght old 80-90 gear lube in the front is fine.
