Nice looking wheels Eric. Good luck on the center cap issue.
I am finishing the last of the woodwork for the kitchen. New stair parts here that I hope to be finished with tomorrow. The new flooring came today. Looks like I'll be able to start putting things in on Monday.
Very cool Jim. Is the staircase in the kitchen? Or, are you building/renovating an entire house?
Just a half renovation on a kitchen. Installing a dishwasher, which required splitting the existing cabinet base and hardwood flooring to replace the linoleum. The stairs are in the kitchen and lead to the basement, so they will be done in oak as well as the railing. I will continue the flooring into the living room and hallway to replace the crappy carpet, but I'm not sure when I will start that since it takes me a long time to do this stuff.
I'm not sure about machine work. I may see if I like the look of the red inserts. I need to clean the rims and warm them up before sticking them on. But, I was kindof thinking of having same shaped inserts cut out of stainless, or having chrome plated ones made. I took the rivet plastic things off and just reinserted the bolts that came with. They are less obnoxious.

I think they look fine. Not show truck awesomeness or anything. But, some nice polished stainless, or chrome would look better IMO.
I agree with you Dustin. I may have to get another set someday and relegate these to snow tires. But, I can live with them. At least much of the other accessories are also black (running boards, cap rails, bed liner, rubber.) And there is shiny stuff down low too.
Went for a ride this morning. The wife drove the 05 with the oldest and I had the 09 with the youngest.. little 31 mile ride. Was warm 37 or so. Cooling off some 33.

Got about 30 miles on yesterday. Trails are so-so...
I got the carbonator on the snow blower finished up today. It runs good and starts easily now. Until it tried to eat a 2x4. I suppose it is a snow blower, not a 2x4 blower. Fortunately it just got lodged in the inner impeller. I am surprised that it didn't shear one of the pins in the auger. A little sawzall work and it was back in business.
