Maple Grove has decided that they want to replace water meters but my softener is in the way so I had to move it. And I noticed I had a corroded fitting coming off the water heater so I figured I may as well replace that at the same time and also change how the lines are hooked up so I am not softening the cold water, only the water going to the water heater.
I now have two leaking unions and I f'ed up the line coming out of the water heater. We have no water in the house now and I need to get this all done by tonight because I am supposed to be going snowmobiling.

oof. Thank you city. Love those.
At least my water meter is new. I mean, the last one burst and put 2 inches of water in my basement.

We dealt with that last summer. Not the meter replacement but the basement plumbing. There were some pinhole leaks that came up so my dad ended up replacing the copper in the utility area of the workshop/basement. Plumbing sucks.
Yesterday was a great day to install mag locks on an exterior door. 3 minutes of work and then warm up myhhands so I can feel them again.
Oh joy!

Thanks Dave. I sure hope I can wrap this up tonight. If not Lynn goes without water all weekend. LOL
I love those!
I probably cant help tonight until later but text me if you need help.
Are you soddering the pipes together? If you are try putting balled up bread in the lines and push them in about an inch to soak up any water in the lines. It wont hurt anything, the bread will disinigrate quickly. I have all the PEX tools if you want to go that way. That is all I will ever do again after plumbing Nicole's bathroom. It is so easy.
