(6") of 3" ABS pipe
(2) 3" Tom-Kap ABS cleanout adapters
3/4" hose to hose straight connector
3/4" hose to hose 90* connector
(2) 3/4" male adapters
1/8" ball valve
1/8" threaded nipple
Scotchbrite SS pads (3 pack)
1/8"x 1 1/2" galvinized nipple
screen repair
JB Weld (Marine)
Red RTV silicone
(1') 3/4" heater hose
(2') 3/4" clear braided vinyl tubing
4' 3/8" vinyl tubing
(8) 3/8"x 7/8" hose clamps
(2) 5/8" hose clamps
#4-1/0 heat shrink
SS Strap
(2) nylon cable clips

Cost me about $70 for all the parts.

There's pics of the build in my picture album.

I didn't change much from Ed's info posts, but, I shrunk the heatshrink over the strap. I ended up not using the L brackets, but instead mounted the strap to the firewall with self tapping screws. Catchcan would slide down through strap, so, I slid strap down as far as I could, then tapped a screw through the strap and into the catchcan (short screw to just pierce the can).

There you go T.Banning. Have fun with it.
What is screen repair, and I've not had any problem finding anything, except a 1/8" ball valve, where did you come up with that?

Sorry for the delay in response. Yes, I did just attach the plumber's tape directly to the firewall. I pre-drilled small pilot holes before I installed the self-tapping screws to the firewall. On the can, I installed a screw that was just long enough to go through the heat-shrinked strap and enough to grab into the can without piercing the inside of the can. It's been holding up that way since I did the install.

In post 25, Ed mentioned 'fine mesh screen'. So the screen repair that I used as 'baffles' inside the can is window/door screen repair. They come in 2"-4" squares (I don't remember exactly what size squares).

The 1/8" ball valve I used, I found at True Value.

Do you have any pics of the inside of your can with the packing in it, I guess what I'm wanting to know, is, did you just pack it full of the scrub pads, or what. I'm also having trouble finding the caps, I thought I could get them thru our Home Depot, but they don't have them, so I'm still searching. Thanks again for all of your help, sorry to keep bothering you!

No Bother.

Those caps were hard to spot in the ABS pipe area of Home Depot, but I just came across them. They had several in the box display. I've seen them a few times later on after I purchased them. Maybe it was just luck that they were there. IDK

I only have the 4 pics in my album. sorry. I used 2 screens. I placed one screen in first. I made sure it was above the bottom hose adapter. I stretched each scrub pad before installing all 3 pads into can. Then I placed the 2nd screen atop the pads, but made sure it was below the top hose adapter.

When I bonded the cleanout adapters to the pipe, I sealed the bottom cap so it couldn't unscrew, or, leak fluid. The top cap, I just screwed it tightly with teflon tape. this was so that if I wanted to get access to the inside of the can.
