Please end the pissing match & get back to the tech.
Those of us who aren't as smart as either of yall' but are just following along to gain some insight into the principles of operation/control of the E4OD are waiting patiently.
I'd love to build & program my own controller, but it ain't happening. Doesn't mean I can't appreciate & enjoy reading about those who can.
I apologize, but I felt that you were belittling my effort to buld a controller for an E4OD trans.
The truth is that the easy way to add an automatic OD to a carb'ed big block ford is expensive. There are inexpensive controllers available, such as MegaSquirt, and ARM7. All that needs to be done is build the proper interface, and program the controller.
Once I can control an E4OD, the 4R100 and other Electronic OD transmissions are only modifications of the original unit.

All I said was "wouldn't it be easier", then I was attacked and belittled.
Transmission controllers can be very expensive and have taken engineers countless hours of preparation.
If that's what you want to do more power to you. I have been dedicated to building transmissions since 1964.
One of my areas of expertise was trouble shooter for, at that time, Western Canada's largest chain of transmission companies.
