Lots more sunshine here. Less snow and rain. Wide open roads with less traffic, unlike Highway 30 - yuk! But, very little historical significance. Nothing like Gettysburg to see. No going on a day trip to NYC, Philly, or DC. But, Okiehoma is home sorta, and we like it.

Sounds like I'd like it! Too cold up here right now. And yeah, Wide open roads ain't something I see here. Except when I go up state to the cabin.
Ok i need a favor Jake. Tell me about those round lights behind the grill and snap a pic or two of how they are mounted. That looks pretty cool. How well did they throw light??

Yeah no problem. The round lights are a pair of Hella's. I forget the wattage, I'll check and take a pic tomorow. As for mounting, I just positioned the lights upside down and drilled through the metal on top of it. As for light, they are bright! The light is aimed pretty high, but i like it like that because I put fogs on the bumper aiming low
I mounted fogs on the bottom row of my grill. I like a ton of light when im back in my homeplace. The county is so small there is not 1 stoplight in the county. Miles n miles of wooded hardtop. Its DARK ridin those roads at night. I have been thinking for 6 months how to mount offroaders on the front without building a bumper piece.
I must say seeing your current status and picturing the finished product.... I will need a drool rag. Im so jealous of that truck.

Thanks man! This truck is my pride and joy right now, so I'm taking my time doing it right. I totally know what you mean driving through the sticks at night. IT SUCKS when you're lights aren't bright. So I got your pics today. Lights could've been straigher, but you don't notice it with the grille on. Bolts directly above.
Got a couple more things done today: Finished up the insulation under the hood. Got a big piece leftover that I'll use behind my door panels too.
Then I started to wetsand my door a little. You can see the patch I did on the bottom of the door. Still a little more work to do though. Quit half way down.
Still have to lay some glaze over this corner and work the bottom but, it's there. Body lines match up perfectly
On the frame, all the old under coat was nasty and bubbling and that's not what you want to see when you look under when it's done. About 2 weeks ago, I covered all the existing under coat with ATF fluid, which makes it soft and gooey. Plus, on the inner frame rails there was no under coat at all too. Put it on the lift, closed the door openings, and cranked the pressure washer up on steam mode. There was pieces of under coat, rust, and who knows what flying all over at me. Works really, really well! And it's not as messy as you think though. Lay 2 air hoses down on opposite sides, so the water is (mostly) contained.
