Morning Jim. This happened about 5 years ago, and all I know is the guy split and left Oregon. I just met Jerry a year ago and felt sorry for him. I managed to get some people to donate $6,000 for supplies, and Harley and I are doing the work for free. I just can't see letting a fellow Vet live like that...

Rainbow Trout Ice Fishing Tips
As of today, there is 4 to 5 inches of clear, hard ice on the lake out to 50 yards in front of the marina. (very little snow) We have only heard of a couple of trout being caught so far. Thats not unusual as it will take some time for the trout to get used to being iced over.

You are to modest Don, most would donate, maybe drive a van. You on the other hand spend time after time sitting with a fellow Vet who suffers from severe PTSD talking him down, move at the drop of a hat when others are in need, and now take on doing a major remodel on a Vets house. Folks if Don's prestige bar could go higher I would make it so, but since it can't I will give you a heart felt salute and a clap of my hands, well done my friend.
