Already had the stove top stuffin'..........just relaxing by the fire.
Went out and shot clay-birds with my brother today, had a great time! Haven't shot clays in years, and still shot a 24 out of 25 one round, less well with another shotgun..........I still got it!
Of course, my brothers $3,500 shotgun had NOTHING to do with it.
All in all, a good day...........stove top stuffin, shootin' and splittin' firewood.
Spent a couple of hours at the farm looking for coyotes. Found a 3 point shed, dog got p.o'd because I waded across the small creek (almost to the top of my hip boots) and he had to swim or stay behind. Staying behind is not an option for him. After we went back and forth across the creek 3 or 4 times, he decided it wasn't as bad as he thought it was. No coyotes today.
The $3500 shotgun probably didn't have much to do with it unless it has radar guidance and a lead computer built into it.

My Lab has to be restrained when it comes to water, if its there, he's in it.
No coyotes at all?........Heard a couple here last night.
That shotgun probably HAS radar and a lead computer built into it for $3,500.......It was hard to miss with it, and it was a beautiful piece of art too...........I suddenly feel like a classy gent.
They moved a very large flock of sheep into Jay's field on the South side of our middle pasture and Oak savannah. Lots of coyotes have been hanging in the brush and Oak trees, but they weren't there this afternoon. A bunch of gopher mounds on the north side of the pasture in the field have been ripped to shreds in the last 24 hrs.. That combined with all of the dogs that were right at the barn a couple of nights ago lets me know they are not far away.
I just can't get into a $3500 shotgun. I'd be afraid to take it out of the bank vault and even it I did, I would be so worried about getting a scratch on it I wouldn't be able to enjoy it. I'd probably do what I did with my collector Peacemaker..........keep it in a glass case and take the firing pin out just to make sure it never got fired!
I'll bet it has perfect balance and a "natural" on target swing and point to it though........................
It's a custom made, pigeon grade Winchester mod 101 12ga O/U skeet gun.............It takes getting used to when the gun is worth more than most of your trucks.
Got the '90 F150 to pass DEQ. It must have been old fuel. Because I didn't do anything else to it and it passed. I did spend the day replacing the valve cover gaskets. I also replaced the spark plug wires and air filter.
I should get it finished up early tomorrow unless I misplace something or break something.
