That just means I'm living in the wrong place!! What's on the agenda for today, Don? I'm gonna be hitting it here shortly, I've got some old equipment to tear down, to be replaced.
Does it help to know that they were building a nuclear plant out East of Don in the 70's? PGE had bought most of the components and was under construction when Oregon passed a law prohibiting the licensing of a new plant. PGE flattened the buildings they had a then built a coal plant instead.
Had they finished, you might have been able to work there.
The weather isn't the same as Don's place though. The plant site is about 50 miles NE by air and is 3000 feet lower. They get dust storms up there that Don doesn't have to worry about.
Morning Allen. Looks like another sunny week here. My buddy Mikey is not happy down in Arlington. He hasn't seen the sun and has had freezing fog for almost 2 weeks now. We are in clear skies here, and all around this mesa, all I can see is fog........

Morning Don.
I get a similar effect where I live. I'm down on the floor of a little river valley off of the Willamette Valley. There's enough zig-zag in the valley to keep the fog from working back here. When I go to work I go up over a 900' pass and down into the valley. I often hit the top and then look down at a blanket of fog. I'm sure I'm going to see the same thing in a few minutes.
The other cool effect I get here is that I'm in the rain shadow of the tall mountains right West of me. I often see rain storms dissipate on the way down the hill. It's rain forest only 2 miles away, with over 200 inches of rain per year.
I'd sure love to be able to work close to home and not in the soup of the valley.
Tell the LLC to tell the insurance company that right now I have someone on sight willing to do the work in return for a building on site. If you delay we will hire a professional contractor and it will cost you double or triple the price.
We've got two different contractors coming in this week to bid on the project. This will establish a "cost" for the work involved for the ins co to work with. When they finally settle, the LLC will get a check for the lessor of the two quotes. With Harley and I doing the work for money off the building we want, the LLC may even come out ahead, and make a few bucks on the deal....A win win for us both!
