We are keeping an eye out for a Cougar lately. Had several deer killed by one within a half mile of the base. Sure would like his pelt hanging on my office wall.....
Last week we met with a home owner on some property adjacent to a project we are working on. He had a locked gate and no trespassing signs posted all over his property. By law I have to post notice if I need to enter property for survey related work. We happend to see the owner the next day... wearing a sidearm. Not something that you see every day in the somewhat urban County that we work in. This property is more rural than most though. He was very plesant and allowed us access to his property. He said that he had seen multiple cougars on his property and would not walk around without his weapon.
We've killed a half dozen here in the last couple years. Ever since the damn state stopped letting us hunt them with dogs. Now their multipling and becoming a real threat. Dumb *** state.......
All is good. The Gov put my SS money in the bank last night!
