Mornin' all!
Hey, Don!
I bought a really accurate oil press guage for the 2.8 Ranger over the weekend, now I am wishing I hadn't...........Says I only have 10-12 psi at hot, dead slow idle @550-600rpm, 50-55psi cold idle, 60psi at 60mph cold, but as it warms up to full op. temp I am only getting about 30psi at 60mph in 5th gear.
A little worried about that hot, low idle reading and the hot highway reading, thought Ford products ran higher hot readings?..........this is a newly rebuilt motor too, using 10w-30.
I know the OP on my 460 NEVER drops below 30psi in gear, hot, at dead curb idle on a 90 degree day.
A belated good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Took a little longer getting in from the morning chores. A little ice on the road and had to make sure mothers new coffee pot was functioning properly before coming back home.
Man I would kill for some of that heavy duty, high detergent oil we used on the boats and ships engine called 9250. It kept the engines so clean inside they looked clean when they were opened up for overhaul
Looks like they are going to try and cram the I5 bridge down our throats like it or not................just got this email yesterday:

Evening Gents! Is that a 9750 Jim? My buddy Mike has a 9750 and it sure looks like that one......
9320 with tires bigger than I am. Need a darn step ladder just to reach the boarding ladder. This one belongs to the neighbors that lease the farm part. They also have the wheat ranch just outside of Rufus.......John Deere 9750 is the combine I think.
