I have actually had to "escort" my wife back to the car so I could keep her out of jail. She can get sooooooo mad if the right buttons are pushed..........
At one of the competition Pistol matches we were at, I snuck off and signed her up for the "Powder Puff" match. When she found out, I thought I was going to be the target! She was well beyond mad. Especially when we found out they were not going to allow her to use the 1911 - no semi's, revolvers only. (We always wondered if the matches weren't rigged to favor State Police in those days - but that's another story)
The only 2 other pistols I had with me were my M27 6" and M19 2 1/2". The 1911 was the only pistol she had been shooting or practicing with and the M27 was way too big for her hands. The course was a 50 yard TRC, which is pretty much a "not for 2 1/2" course.
Well, myself and a good buddy-fellow LEO-shooting partner and his wife talked Diana into shooting in the match using the M19 2 1/2". We convinced her she could do O.K.. She won the match! It was unbelievable.
She told everyone it was easier than she thought. She was so mad at me for signing her up, that every time she fired a shot, she imagined it was my face on the silhouette.
