Not a word........ I have talked with several port members, and they say they want no more to do with it, but the port chairman is dragging her feet. At least I know we have the backing of the county gov...

With the county controlling their purse, they have to get their permission to spend the cash, and the county won't give them any more money. The county judge and two commissioners say they have my back. We'll see.....

I am waiting for a call from trans X-change in P-town, to go get my Ranger trans.
They made it sound easy, everybody down here says "They don't even make parts for those old things anymore".

They are a great bunch to work with. The guy I use to go through the most was Phil Brown. Don't know if he's still there or not, but a good guy!
They started business in 1937 as Portland Auto Wrecking. Transmission Exchange was a spin-off in 1952, and is still my go-to source for trans parts.

Prices down here IF they could get one were $200-600 more than trans X change.

I've heard their warranty is good too, but never had a problem with any of the trannys I bought from them. Still a bunch of their trannys I replaced running around here, and I haven't bought anything from them for the last ten years, ever since I closed down my commercial shop in Arlington.
