Been there, done that! I set my bids up on a proxy bid system. I set the max amount I want to bid, and when somebody makes a higher bid than mine the system places an automatic $5 raise in the bid, until my max amount is bid, so we'll see..........
I would give my left nut to get it.......................lol
My son in law's racing buddys are waiting hopefully for me to get it. It would make tuning their cars a much easier job, and put some cash in my pocket!
Carnival is slow to leave this year. All the rides seem to be torn down and gone, but a lot of smaller support stuff along with people and campers are still there. Hopefully they will be gone by tonight or someone might get shot. About 2 A.M. there was a bunch of loud yelling, cussing and all sorts or noise making going on over there. Looked like they were still loading up some of the base plates and other stuff and were having some disagreements on how to do it. Went out in the back yard to take a look and it kind of appeared and sounded like there may have been some imbibing in the spirits going on........some mental midgets.......... or some combination there of taking place as well. Anyway, if they hang in there with some kind of a show lay over and that keeps up tonight, I'll have to have a talk with the S.O.
Well, you could wait until 1358 or 1359 and put in a bid that is $5 over. If it kicks back with an auto bid on the other guys part then you know he has a much higher limit. If it doesn't then you get it without really "busting" your max.
My idea is only as good as no one bidding between now and then. There again, now you see why my wife has banned me from auctions!
Nope. As much as I'd like to have it, I set my limit at $499, and won't go higher. The guy thats bidding now is the only one that's bid more than once, and not getting into a bidding war and spend more than I want to.......
