You may get a new member that lives in Prineville Allen. I met him last night and told him about you and he said he's seen your rigs around. He's got a 74 F250 4X4. He haden't heard about FTE and said he will join. We'll see...
Sorry Jim, I headed out before I had a chance to see your post.
Our place is in Rockaway... So I drove over the hill on Highway 6.
It was a nice drive. It was a bit greasy on the way over... I pulled over to let other drivers pass and got a little sideways. Thankfully, the crew cab is nearly impossible to get completely sideways.

Just wondering if you were going out 18 through the corridor. Would have met you for a cup of coffee in Ft. Hill if you were.
Going to Rockaway, it wouldn't make any sense to be in my neck of the woods, especially if you were on a time schedule.
Ah, Rockaway Beach. Is that Café on the east side of the hwy toward the north end of town still there? Been a while since I was up that way, but I remember it was a pretty fair mom & pop "greasy spoon".
The Mrs. and I had breakfast at the Vida Cafe, about 1 mile from the house today......
The Vida cafe is a MUST stop at, if you come up the McKenzie river on 126, best eats around, and no weird, eugene influenced food, just GREAT down home cookin'.

Jim, if I was heading your way I would have sent you a message. However, we were on a schedule. My son wanted one of the matte rests and box spring sets from down there. He was less than enthused about spending any time with me. In fact he slept most of the way down. My yellow lab was better company than he was.
Truth be told... if I do go down to Rockaway I try to stay as far away from anything to do with other people as possible. The closest to town that I like to get is the lIquor store on the south edge of town.

Dave, thanks for the suggestion. I love those kinds of places.

Have a good evening everyone. Have an errand to run in Dallas and then going to stop and look at a Xmas light display on the way back. Some "long" distance neighbors to the farm have an animated light display and this is the last year they are going to put it up...............................the end of an era.
Evening Gents. Got a ton done on Jerry's house today. We got all the new walls up, and half the wiring finished up. Also got the interior walls sheetrocked in the new furnace room. Tired, but a satisfying day...
Thanks, and good evening Bruce! I can't start the insulation till the electrical inspector gives his final next Thu. Another day to insulate and finish the sheetrock, then on to the french doors and Juniper slab steps and the Juniper beam and column supports...
Yes it is! Haven't done any wrought iron since high school a very long time ago. When I was a sophomore I spent that summer and the next winter learning iron work with a 70 year old sweet man. Learned a dying art from that old man, and now I finally get to try it again...
