I have read all the posts regarding programming a remote into my truck. I cant locate the connector that they all speak of. Does anyone have pictures or know where I could find some of where its at and what exactly it looks like?

1996 Ford F150, F250, F350 Remote Programming

 

No. But thanks. I'm a locksmith and already know that method. Its the older models with the connector that you need to jump is what I am trying to find info on. I own one and had another come in today for a remote and all the info is rather vague. I need pics if anyone has them or can point me in the right direction.

 

It is a two-wire programming connector under the dash, near the steering column. It is connected to the RKE control module. If it is not there, you do not have the factory RKE system.
It is not standard even on the XLT for 1995 trucks.

I found the blue box. And behind it is what I think is the electric lock control. Can I buy a keyless entry box and swap it out with the one thats in my truck? I have fobs at my shop or should I just buy an aftermarket one from autozone or someplace similar? And is that RKE module one big box, or 2 seperate ones taped together?

OK kew. So is that something I can just swap out with the one I have now that just does the electric locks and then program in a FOB?

 

Probably, never tried it myself. Pretty much plug-n-play except for programming the fobs.

 

Alright. Thanks for your help. I have tons of FOBs at the shop. Now just have to locate the keyless box. Any ideas where I could find one for cheap?
