As mentioned in another thread, look for a receiver under the dash. It would probably be located near the steering column.

If there's a key fob on your keyring...

Sorry... couldn't pass it up.

This is supposed to be a picture of a keyless receiver for 1993-2002 explorer. You may have a pick up but it would probably look similar to this.

Nope the one in these trucks looks different than that one.
Do you have a flashing "THEFT" light in your dash? If you do you have keyless entry. If not look to the right of the steering column under the dash and below the radio for a large black box with 2-3 wire plugs going to it. That's the keyless entry module.

And that's why we have forums like these. If this was a friend I was giving advice to in person, I wouldn't have known any better, and I'd have been wrong. That's why it's nice to have a large pool of knowledge at our fingertips.

This is awesome, I have electric locks and always wondered if i had the keyless entry on my 1992 150xlt. I will have to go home and check. If it turns out that I do and/or the OP does as well how could we go about getting a new fob trained for it?

Ebay has them for cheap...and the dealer will program them for free.

I don't think RKE was an option until 94 or 95 sometime so you are out of luck for the "Easy Button" method I have an RKE module and a bunch of wiring laying on the garage floor right now that's going to get spliced in to my factory harness so I'll have semi-factory keyless entry (with a keypad in the door as well).
Programming the fob is easy, there is a 2 wire plug in the RKE harness that you jump the pins on and it cycles the lock, hit the button on your remote until the locks lock and you're set.

Man I'm in the exact same situation as you! Let me know if you figure this out for sure and snap a picture and the exact location of the box.

I can't use my keys to unlock the doors so my truck is unlocked all the time. I have a '96 Eddie Bauer edition, so I imagine I do have keyless entry, I just need to find the module for it.

Oh and I found the exact same box that you have in your picture. I hear that there are two wires that need to be jumped from the box (that's a separate connector) to program the FOB. I don't think that's the box but hopefully someone that knows for sure will chime in

if you have power locks, but no keyless entry (not an option on f150's until '94) you can go online and get a module for around 30-40 bucks......its an aftermarket unit, but comes with two new fobs and is pretty much plug-n-play from what ive read about them.....

That's not it. The RKE box has nearly 3 dozen wires going to it in 3 plugs and is a lot bigger. That looks like the door ding module if I'm not mistaken.

I got the module and all the wiring needed to add RKE to my truck for $10 at a junk yard. I'll bet even with the one in your link it's not as plug and play as they say.
