Advice on pulling the engine
#16
I had considered pulling the core support, but that looked like a lot of extra work. But after looking at the pictures of the access that is gained, looks like it's worth it. I got time, it's not a DD, so I'll go that route. I'll start on the core support tomorrow.
Of course now I'm thinking about pulling the transmission and getting that rebuilt as well. Lets see where this goes. Looks like the "while I'm at it, I'll also do the............" thing happening. I was going to get my '72 Bronco drivable this winter, but that will have to wait. It's only been about 10 years since I started on that so another year won't matter.
Thanks all.

It really is not hard to pull at all. A few screws for the plastics and maybe 15 bolts to get the core. It was really easy yanking the motor. It has been sitting in my driveway for about a month and a half now. The neighbors do not even notice that the engine is not in it. I have the front facing the house.
I pulled everything in less than a day. Cleaning painting and upgrading takes much longer.
