Has anybody had a new or old vc gasket leak. I haven't until now, grrrrr
Jonathan finally called me and after we talked I sent in my chip. My PCM has been retinned and is on its way back to me. For $250 he said he has a problem where I tell him what's wrong or I want something different, he sends me a email with an attachment and I fix my own chip. I know other programers do this, IDK, money money money, where does it stop?

This would be nice, especially if you could send datalogs to your tuner so he could get an even better idea of what's going on.... If Tony did that, I probably would do it, but I have datalogging capabilities and I'm eventually going to have a lot more engine to try to make play nice.... I will be doing this on my gasser when the next engine goes in it.
EDIT: only VC leak I've seen was from someone being too lazy to put the back bolts in the VCs.
That would be nice to have what jonathan is talking about, I guess I'd probably do it if I could. I hear ya on the money thing though.
I'm thinking about the programmer but will wait until I see how the new reburn is. I'm in the wait, wait mode now, If its not the valve cover gasket leaking, what else could leak in the back outside of the passenger side head. Its dripping down on the exhaust manifold.

I'm a little slow Travis, , but can't a scan gauge data log? Heck, I've had mine for a couple years and finally did a buzz & contribution test, pretty cool!! A big bad engine needs to play nice, that's a good statement, LOL I'm trying to get my little engine to play nice, slowly coming together. Yes, the bolts are in and tight, you believe me don't you?
That rear oil rail plug isn't leaking, is it? Hope not.
I should really get to understand my scangauge a little better someday too. I've never done a buzz or contribution test. I've got it set up to read what I want, but there are a lot more things I should figure out on it sometime. I'll have to take some time and play with it some more means I've had it for a couple years now. That and my new radio. I have no idea how to run that. Took me about 10 minutes just to figure out how to get it to play music.. I can sit on my a$$ in the truck and figure those things out.

No, its not a plug, I replaced all those O rings. Its on the outside of the head at the rear, actually saw a drip down the outside of the exhaust manifold. There was a drip of oil on the bottom of the starter. I'll have to clean it all up and check it again. I ran my finger across the vc (back outside corner) and got oil on it. I think its the vc but not positive yet.
That's interesting Mike but I wouldn't know how to do it. I've seen it in the menu.

It would be good to ask to Jim (Hussler) about this, Im pretty sure he is a guru. I also want to learn, and, I always have wanted to ask, if somebody has obtained some codes from a tranny failure with the scangauge; one time Jim (Rosewood) told that if PCM can storage any codes from the tranny, the scangauge should read them, but IDK, I havent read or heard anything about this.
I meant the big plug in the back of the head Glenn, maybe you knew that?
IIRC I get both those codes all the time too. One for sure, but I think both. It's been half a year since I've really driven it, so I'm not positive which one it was, or if it was both..
