If I remember right it was called a 80hp economy burn or flash on it. I almost forgot I had it. I'm like that, I buy spare parts and throw them in for 'just in case' for when I'm on the road. Last year I broke down on a bridge 20 miles south of here and barely had enough momentum to roll off the bridge. I changed out just about every thing, even that PCM, before I got to the IPR. I just didn't feel like sucking all that oil out of there or letting it drain all over every thing. I finally did though, it was a stuck IPR and with my spare away we went. So I did put the spare PCM in the truck once, LOL
Good to here Glenn. Seems like when your retired you still run short on time.
You got that right! I don't know how I ever got any thing done when I worked 70-80 hours a week. But, there is a saying that I relate to: "If you have something you want done, better do it before you retire because after you retire you don't have time! LOL
Edit... Holy crap, I missed a whole page. Lol. If that spare PCM has the 80E DP-Tuner tune on it, I wouldnt run it. Just me.. I won't get into any tuner debates about it, that 80E tune just doesn't sit right with me and that's all I will say. The only way that tune would ever run my engine is if it was an absolute last resort.
Correct me if I am wrong, though if he puts his chip back in the truck, it won't matter what the tune is on the PCM. The chip will be running its tunes and not the tunes on the PCM anyway, correct? I think you could swap the PCM from the mule into the mare and run your chip then too. I would try that before I send the chip back for re-tuning. Who knows what might be going on if the chip isn't making good contact. I would want to make sure that you don't have that as an issue before you start adjusting the tunes. That's just me though. I tend to eliminate one problem at a time so I know that there aren't issue that are compounding each other.

Holy crap is right!! I need more coffee! I'm not running it until I finish this front tank vent mod, I have to go downtown and get some parts and if I get the roll over valve Jim mentioned I don't know how long Ford will take to get that. I don't think I bothered with it on the mule, I don't recall.

That's a good post Nate! I was thinking of trying the TW chip on the mare anyway. Now, with the mare's PCM needing retinning, I think I'll try the mule's PCM with the TW chip and Beans chip. That's a interesting point about the chip overriding the DP 80hp economy tune, just don't run stock????

Your saying the chip will over ride the 80E DP burn on the PCM? Like Travis said, only as a last resort but safer with the chip on it?
Oh, I forgot to post a picture of the 'hoodliner' half way on. It shows the thicknes of the foam and if I'm correct, its what Richard was talking about that's better for sound reduction then the dynamat's foil over tar, or whatever it is.
Yeah if u run the DP tuned PCM, run a chip in it fo sho.. the PCM will completely over ride the DP tune and just go off the chip tune. I was under the impression that if you send in your PCM, your going to send the chip with it. Lol. TWs chip wasn't tuned for stage 2s, so it's going to probably be fairly smokey and egts may be a little warm.
