Glenn it can be retined but you got to be very confident with a fine tip gun and the rite solider.
Option 2 is swap PCM with the mare and send yours off to be fixed.
I'm not that confident, I'll check to see what the turn around time is. Next week I'm taking the mule to SD to haul water with so I'll just leave the mare sit for awhile.
The 3 pins on the right side of the pic do not look clean
I just looked again, they are cleaner then the picture shows.
It really is surprising to me, I think the mare could pull the camper without a chip. 1200 EGT's is the highest I could get out of it. But of course the real test is pulling a load.
Got the driveshaft in and went for a ride, much better. It ran pretty good for no chip. I got 28 psi boost, no falling on its face on the shifts and no dieing when you put it in gear. I still have some loping in idle and a 200 rpm drop when putting it in gear. Maybe the new IPR and ICP Clay is sending me will help that. In other words, I screwed up and over cleaned the contacts. I warned others not to do it and I did it . Jonathan said they can fix that but Mike said the contacts can be re-tinned?? There is a plastic divider that looks to me might get to hot and melt, IDK.
Awhile ago I talked to dynamat and they said if I put dynamat under the hood and hoodliner that they sold it would reduce the noise. I finally got the stuff and put it on and the ride I went on was much, much BETTER!!! . I think the wife will not complain to much. The turbo whine is soften down.
My PCM looked the same as yours and I didnt have any issues, maybe with a good chip tunning it will be OK. IDK.
If it reduced the noise in some grade, Id put more in the lateral parts of the hood wich are not covered in the pics.
Glad to hear that seems that all is taking its place
I think all your problems will be gone after that and tuning is fixed
Hope so, if I send the PCM in I going to ask about turn around time for sure. I'm also going to ask about checking and fine turning the chip according to what I experienced dispite the contact points on the PCM. About four or five years ago I bought a PCM on ebay cheap with a 80hp DP tuner on it. I threw it in my tool box and never did try it out. I don't even remember if its for a auto or stick. I'm sure I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't for a auto. Do you think it would hurt anything if I tried it?? Thanks for all your help here Mike!

I used the whole 'hoodliner' but do have a little dynamat left. I probably will put some on the edges Jose.
That's another reason I'm thinking about sending in the PCM with the chip just so they don't have any excuses, LOL.
