Ya, there is not a lot of reason for the campers to get up here yet until this snow stops. It's like february up here yet.
I took my truck to mitchell to get some stuff monday, but I didn't get after it at all to test it. Being so cold yet I'll just wait til it warms up for any more wot test runs. I'm kinda scared to do anymore anyway means I hit 39lbs of boost before.
Ahh hell.. you could step up to a little more air if you wanted to at some point. Maybe see if you can get a little bigger turbine housing for that S300.. or try an aftermarket IC. Always room for improvement!!!
haha, I think I'll leave it alone for now, LOL I'm all moded out.

This whole 'saga' was quite a ordeal. Looking back I can't believe the number of posts where so many helped me thru dumb mistakes and stupid questions, . This was my inspirational! Yeah, that picture turned out pretty good!

You mentioned your fuel gauge straighted it self out Darin, mine did yesterday. My turn signals started working to. Love it when things fix themselves. Actually though, I'm guessing I'll have to get a heavy duty blinker box, maybe with the camper it overloads it because when I first started on the trip they worked. My wife wanted to delay the trip until the coast is clear, LOL
I don't know if you remember in my thread, but I had a "surge" with the cruise on when I was coming home with the truck from the trans ordeal. When I went to Mitchell the other day, I took interstate part of the way, and the old highway the other part. On the interstate, I noticed the surging, I had the cruise set at 72-73. On the highway, the cruise was set at 55, and I noticed nothing. On the way home, I took the same route, and didn't notice the surging on the interstate. I'm not positive it wasn't, the wind was blowing about 40 right against me, but I didn't notice it.
I can't remember, do these PCM's "learn" anything? I was wondering if maybe it learned something having to do with my transmission, but I have no idea.
Glad to hear your truck is fixing itself Glenn. I like it when that happens! My fuel gauge has never been messed up since that one time. It was like that for a month or so iirc, then just fixed itself.
I mentioned this surge to Jonathan and this trip I haven't noticed it. But, like you say, the wind was blowing so I can't be sure its gone completely. The surging before was mostly on level ground without a wind.
I was told that our PCM's do not learn but the SD's do. I don't know if that's true or not.

Our PCMs don't "learn". I believe that started with the 6.0.. The surge while cruising can be tuning related or I think the RABS could cause some cruise surge also. When mine surged with cruise on it was tuning. Told Tony what it was doing and he said, "Easy fix, I just need to adjust the tunes". He adjusted the tunes, boom... Fixed..
Im happy for you Glenn. Glad it worked out for you. And it looks great. Still puzzeled about the boost being low. Hopefully your trip will be less stressful this year knowing all your ducks are in a row.
Thanks for the clarification on the pcm learning Glenn and Travis. I thought that was the case, but didn't remember for sure. Travis, I remember you mentioned the tuning in my thread, I was just wondering if it could be anything else. I have a hard time understanding how it could be the tuning when I never had it before, and I never send my chip in. Maybe it is, I just don't know. It's not a bad surge, just a slight one. I guess I'll have to see how it works next time, and go from there.
X2 on that. The RV park seems to be huge, I can see in the center of the pic a motorhome (maybe a Coachmen) and maybe another rig far away in the right of the pic. Your rig continues looking awesome.

Where is the RABS on my truck?
Sorry for the hijack Glenn...
RABS module is behind the glove box. It can be unplugged, you just won't have ABS in the rear. I leave it unplugged on my F150 because it makes my speedometer jump around like crazy. Without it plugged in the Speedo is smooth like normal. I wonder if the speedo moves around a little from a bad RABS if the cruise would surge.. I would guess so.
I'm not sure what they change in the tuning to correct the surge. I'm sure it has to do with too quick throttle response and the cruise isn't as smooth as the ole foot on the throttle. Idk, just a guess.

The main hurdle is mainly not having a feedback device to "tune " from...I.E. o2 sensor or something of similar function.
Glenn,The view is just b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l ! It must be rought being retired,so busy and driving that big rig around like a pimp! now you just need to go to rre and the circle will be complete! lol
I wish I could Aaron! It was 90* today and pulled some good hills and the temp seemed to be OK. Runs really well but I don't want to sound like a complainer but like I told Jake last year, I have to see it to believe it. I haven't seen it. When people talk about pulling, I don't think they are talking about the long steep hills. On the short steep hills, yeah, what Jake said holds true.
Its probably still tuning but much better then it was.

Picky picky picky. LMFAO.. I know what your saying. If you decide to start messing with more parts, I'm still confident we can find a combination to do what you want. Based off of your responses so far, I think your close.
