Ok..valvesprings are in and rockers and pushrods in place and torqued to 23 ft/lbs. Parts store guys still trying to wrangle a water pump for me..but everything else is done. Next is just the piddly stuff like clutch fork boot..fuel lines etc. Also..can SOMEONE show me a way they hooked up a throttle linkageto a carb on an offy c?
Trying to remember, what style/year head do you have? It's only the later year ones where you can just torque down the rockers.
Have you tried doing a search for "throttle linkage" or "throttle cable" within the 300 forum? (Best if you go to advanced search or it'll search the whole sight).
It's been gone over a lot and there's a lot of pictures out there.
Well, if you have a throttle cable there are plenty of options. I used a Lokar bracket for a while:
Now I'm using a fancy billet bracket that's a lot sturdier and adjustable enough to get the full travel out of the stock cable. I'll get a pic this weekend.
I figured out the rockers. I torqued em to 23 ftlbs. Baron..my truck doesn't have the "cable" gas pedal..is there a way to make a cable work for ny bar?
If there's a will there's a way. Someone on here recently fabbed up a bell crank throttle that looked pretty slick. Maybe the pedal and cable from an '80s vintage truck will swap into yours?
