My thottle cable doesn't like to return to idle.I'm running a performer 289 w/ holley 600.I'm using the stock cable and bracket,the bracket only fits one of the holes on the intakeand it sits too close to the carb.any suggestions on how ya'll might have cured the same problem?

 

edelbrock makes a throttle plate adapter that should have come with your manifold.(it did on the perf. 289 i put on my 82) evn if it did not you can pick it up for less than 20 bucks at any parts store or use the net and go to summit...ect.
