I have a 86 f250 6.9 I just want a little more power out of it I put a Ats turbo and turned up the ip a half of flat is there anything else I can do thats cost effective?
do you have an EGT gauge? if so then crank that fuel up more. don't go over 1100 for sustained amount of time though. do you have a boost gauge? if so then what kind of boost do you see? if you have neither of these two gauges then those are a must to buy for your truck now that you have turned the fuel up and have boost going into the engine.
your right foot is what hurts or helps fuel mpg. as long as you keep your foot in check, you can do what ever you want with your fuel screw and you mpg will stay the same.
What kind of boost are you running? The easiest thing to do is turn up the boost and fuel. Opening up the exhaust/intake can help. Do you have an intercooler set up?
how many miles on IP and injectors? if they are getting near or are over 150K miles then they are tired and should be replaced. that will gain you some oomph there. adding an intercooler will increase efficiency of the air charge. there is not a lot you can do with out spending some money
Idk honestly I'm savings up to get the baby moose injection pump but cant really afford injectors right now and no it is not intercooled and I have 3 1/2 straight pipe in it
