Boost gauge

Hey guys here is a quick question on a Glow Shift boost gauge... I have installed all my gauges finally lol and my EGT and Trans temp gauges seem to be working fine but I am not getting a reading on my Boost gauge even though it's a manual gauge... I have three power wires for the boost gauge one full time power and the other two are switched power.... I ran all my full time power into one connector and all my switched power into one connector my question is do I need to run each of the boost switched wires into different power sources for some reason.... I hope someone has run into this problem lol...

Any one know of a reason why a turbo wouldn't show any boost on a gauge maybe a clogged line or something? I checked the fitting where the boost line comes out of the valve cover and nothing is blocking it....

I got it to read and I am doing 5lbs of boost when the truck is floored and at 3000rpm.... I am thinking something is wrong haha either with the gauge or the turbo... When I turn my chip to its highest setting my truck misses a bit then the check engine light comes on and the ol girls runs perfect and can hit 11lbs of boost lol still not very much.... I pulled a 1211 Injection Control pressure not controllable-pressure above or below desired... I am not sure what this code means or if these trucks have another injection control module other than the IDM since its new...

I'm going to say bad gauge or you got some bad leaks in my 80hp setting at 65mph i got 2psi and at WOT i hit 22psi

Unplug the ICP and see if you have oil in the plug

what kind of programer do you have you should not be pluging anything into that plug the ICP (injector control pressure) tell the PCM how much oil the injectors need

It's made by scorpion Diesel it's a rather cheap chip I can't remember where I picked it up... It does the job though but in its highest setting it causes that hesitation and the eng light to come on....

if it goes there it sounds more like a 10K mod i bet it has a bad connection

I bet if you take it out your CEL will go away and your truck will run better

I wouldn't trust a chip that plugs into the ICP sensor. A good chip will plug directly into the PCM.

the chip is most likely what's making it run bad and the light is coming on cause it's calling for too much oil
