Hi and Happy New Year to all,

Well it's now got about 7000kms on the rebuild.

We've done a couple of trips away both with the camper on the back and without.

I've also been using it as my daily driver most of the time.

The insulation works really well with the windows up and I've only had the aircon gassed about 4 weeks ago, really did not need it before then, and have only used it twice since. There's more noise from the tyres at the moment than the engine. I've got my old set of MT/R's on (about 50,000kms on them) so a bit noisier than the newer ones.

Only issues since the rebuild.

Dirty fuel, must have been when I filled both tanks about six weeks ago, I've fixed the front tank but need to drain the rear tank. I cleaned both filters before we went to Townsville (500km round trip) and the rear one is blocked again.

Need to replace the inner control arm pivot bushing for the left side. I think I left out part of the left hand bush when I reassembled it so some times when I move the truck in reverse the left wheel gets a lot of negative camber. I've checked and the inner left bush appears to be missing the retainer. So this weekends job is to replace the bush and retainer.

Had to replace the fuel selector as it was leaking into the electrical side. Found this when cleaning the fuel pre pump filters. So rebuilt the whole filter setup. More details here

Found the problem with the fuel when the Fuel Filter Plugged light started coming on at wot. Took a while to determine what the problem actually was as the filter on the engine was basically brand new. Second reason to rebuild the prefilter/selector assembly so I don't have to pull the whole unit to change a filter. Thought it may have been the fuel pump initially but when I pulled the pre-filters both had a lot of dirt in them but doing their job.
