I'm a little late to the discussion, but if you want to run lockers front and rear, you want a selectable (ARB, OX, Eaton E-locker) in the front. You want to have 4wd with an open differential for most of the driving you'll do. You can then engage the locker for when you're in the deep stuff/stuck. As for the rear, either limited slip or selectable lockers will work. I like the looks of the classic Detroit locker, or the Eaton True-trac for limited slip, and the ARB or Eaton E-locker for selectable lockers. You could also find a limited slip factory setup and re-build the clutch packs to handle more power and not wear out as quickly.

8" 99-04 BDS superglyde lift springs. All tho they are 600 for a set, its alota spring.

Goal for future-

8" BDS springs
2" Rear block
SKY FSK
RSK

I think both shackle flips should give me about 4" of lift around, and also im assuming those 8" lift springs will move the axle forward/reverse so its a good time for the R/FSK. I think ill run somewhere in the range of 42" tires. If need be, ill throw on a small bodylift.

What do you guys think? Out of all the time ive researched bricknose trucks, ive never seen a Shortbed F150, SAS, RSK, FSK and run 42's?
If you use Super Duty rear leaf springs, you shouldn't have to move your spring mounts at all. The rear axle is centered in the spring pack, and the Super Duty has the same eye-to-eye dimension as your truck.

For the front, if you get leaf springs for the 8th/9th gen trucks, you also shouldn't have to move the spring mounts, but if you go with Super Duty lift springs, you'll need to move the front perch forward around 3-1/2" while the rear mount can remain where it is.

I wouldn't recommend a shackle flip kit for the rear (the front can't be flipped as the swing shackle is already on the bottom) if you plan on towing anything. The shackle is designed to work under tension with the swing shackle above the mount. Flipping the shackle over will make it work under compression, and the performance of the system can't be guaranteed under high stress.

And oh, the things id do to own that truck.
Ok, well I'm just saying. The police in my area didn't have a problem with loud exhaust until too many people had it, and then they started pulling everybody over after all my buddies had me redo their exhaust because "it'll sound so good". I think I did 4 before the first one got a ticket, and then 2 got tickets in one day. I'm just saying, you might be the straw to break the camel's back. So you gotta be careful.

Thanks for the tip. As for the lockers im not made of money, and cant justify spending upwards of 2gs on just lockers. I gota stick with the lock-rights. they are cheap and really effective.

And well im not using super duty springs, im using a lift spring from a company thhat sayis it will fit that years 250/350.

As for the front, since i dont have leafs, i have springs, i have to move the mounts anyway.

Update

Went out on a little trail riding today!

While we were out there I managed to break-
1-Back up light
1-break light bar under tailgate
1-guard for the steering stabilizer
1-the bumper inside the tailgate that allows it to swivel....so basically my tailgate fell of on one side
1- exhaust hanger

So the exhaust fell off, we had to cut the remainder of it right before the stupid resonator.

And hopefully you guys can hear this, but if not let me know!

Exhaust clip--

Big update!

Hey yall! Its kinda been awhile since i updated, or at least it feels that way to me. Alot has went on in teh few weeks!

I first started off with the big new england snow storm

^ its a truck kinda firehouse!

It was a blast! I didnt get stuck once

However......................
I did infact tip the truck onto a snow bank.

The truck responded with a "honey badger dont give a fudge kind of attitude.
It broke the front ujoint and passenger side mirror. theres a verrryy slight concave where the door meets the fender. (un-noticeable to everyone else except me)

THEN. My dip **** girlfriend, rolled her Chebby k10 merging on the highway. Thank god for the OBS trucks, the metal boat kept her safe. No real damage, the trucks a big POS anyway so no biggie. Shes safe, thats the most important part!!

ANYWHOZERS!--------------

I decided to slow my roll on the axle swaps and etc. Im enlisted in the USMC so i will have funds rolling in a little better in a few months. I figured i want to make this my dream truck. Do it right the first time with the best parts available.

New goals-
Offroad Unlimited Dual front shock hoops for the d60
Front shackle reversal
Fully boxed frame
4.88 gears
6" leaf lift springs
Disk converted sterling
39.5 Swampers on 17" rims
New EVERYTHING

NOW I know most of this thread has been about wishes. Im starting to make it reality.

New cross hatched Rotors for the D60....thats a quarter BTW, they are MASSSIVVEEE

Brandy new Calipers painted red (like my snowman sheets? )

I also just ordered-
1. D-Ring reciever hitch
2. Ring and Pinon master install kit for D60
3. Lock-right locker for D60
4. 4.56 and up Diff carrier
5. 4.88 Reverse rotation D60 gears
6. some coolio yellow interior lights

STay TunEd f4or biG updAtEz!!!!

Don't fret. Nobody will appreciate your work on your truck as much as you. Just like nobody will appreciate anything on my truck as much as me.

On another note, I've got something you should do to your truck. Fix that god awful bumper gap. The truck looks so good, but I'm always drawn to the gaps.

Don't worry about it, in the end it's done your way to your liking.
When I did my build noone commented as much as I did.
I look at it as a personal time machine to remember what I did.

Very true guys, very true. Like a diary of your trucks build. And GNR, i totally agree. the gaps are aweful. When i do my SAS, and everything that goes along with it, ill change the 3" body lift to a 2", its only a inch, but itll look a little better hopefully.

On another note, I went to a Jason Aldean / Jake Owen / Dierks Bentley Concert here at Mohegan Sun (east coast)

And seeing how i have a addiction to buy more truck parts everywhere i goo............

Got me a new liscense plate!
