I was thinking abou that too! I want to put new badges all around. Like have a 2012 F250 badge on the side of the truck. It would look nice. only problem is there like 80$ from the dealer...
On another note, Does ANYONE know the width (tire to tire) on my 90' F350? I need to transport it, and i dont have a trailer big enough. Uhaul rents one out but it cant be more then 80" wide.
I cant get back to the shop untill friday which is also when i need to move it out of there.
Help! ( i didnt wana waste another thread about 1 topic lol)
That right there is the last bolt on the receiver hitch, the one closest to the cab. As yall can see, the bolt hole is no where near where it should be. wierd huh?
SO what i did is this! (for future reference if anyone plans on doing this..
and it worked out great! Topped off all the bolts with 3/4 Grade 8's and snugged them down. Since there wasnt much meat on the bolt closest to the bumper, i decided to weld it up a little bit for extra comfort and peace of mind.
Thanks to diyIT, looks like my plans have kinda changed.
8" 99-04 BDS superglyde lift springs. All tho they are 600 for a set, its alota spring.
Goal for future-
8" BDS springs
2" Rear block
SKY FSK
RSK
I think both shackle flips should give me about 4" of lift around, and also im assuming those 8" lift springs will move the axle forward/reverse so its a good time for the R/FSK. I think ill run somewhere in the range of 42" tires. If need be, ill throw on a small bodylift.
What do you guys think? Out of all the time ive researched bricknose trucks, ive never seen a Shortbed F150, SAS, RSK, FSK and run 42's?
That's going to be ungodly large. Are you still going to run that on the road like that? You might want to check local laws. Here in WI, there's a limit on how big the diameter of a tire can be compared to stock, and a law of high high the bumper can be, as well as the lights. You might want to check that out for your state.
Oh and by the way, I don't care how awesome and big your truck is going to look, it'll never look as good as Bigfoot #8 in 1990.
