long story but..truck would idle rough when id get off a HWY. and i also started to notice blue/white smoke at startup even if the truck was warm. then id be driving and rough engine shakes with lots of blue/white smoke....which lead me to this tread because my truck died on the highway (2weeks ago). and here i am.... cant get it started.

Hey Kyle, sorry the truck is giving you problems, a friend of mine brought you recent posts on the board to my attention and I have been reading them this morning. The thing that grabbed my eye was the fuel pressure, it was set at 67psi, it has always been set to that. In a different post you said it was at 52 psi at idle, thats a pretty big drop for that system and makes me question what it is with the engine under load (driving). There are 2 fuel filters on the frame rail, one before the pump is 100micron the one after the pump is 2 micron, I think one or both may be clogged up. I fear it my be a fuel related issue, what tank are you on and have you tried the other tank? Again very sorry for your troubles, I can't belive my baby let you down... This prob not why it wont start now, but I am worried that the issue has been complicated by breaking into the hpo system. Anyway, just trying to help.

My apologies. I didn't realize there was a no start issue to begin with. I know Travis has mentioned his truck still ran an something like 1psi with his e fuel.

tthe really problem is im driving a GMC around town for two weeks. if it had tinted windows i wouldnt mind.

ok.....hows this for a messup! so i was going to pull the ipr again today to make sure that little needle was facing the correct direction. so i was in the process of draining the res. and the plastic tube off the pump fell into the res...... now what?

Unless you can fish it out, I think you'll be pulling the res.
