Drain the rez, pull the IPR, change orings, and reinstall

The plug has a little metal flip lock on it.
Unlock it pull the plug.
Take the tin nut off.
Slide the solenoid off.
Take IPR out

Sears makes a deep dish socket that works good. Most are not deep enough.

The sears one is insanely expensive.

It needs to be really deep though.

1-1/8 box wrench works just fine if the fuel bowl is out, which yours is with the e fuel.

IIRC the box gives you the offset you need to get it in there. You can get the open/box combo for about 20 bucks at Napa.

Yes, You take the tin nut off and pull the magnet off.

I'll go measure my socket for you in a bit here to make sure you get the right depth.

I got a good deal on mine but it was like 1/4 too short, I had to spend like 2 hours rounding the inside of the socket well out to get it over top of the IPR. All I had to use was a dremmel tool and no drill bits large enough.

So, tightening my IPR was a pain.

The one at sears is like 40 bucks.

You can probably get the kobalt one cheaper if the depth is good enough on it.

Kobalt is the quality of the old craftsman stuff.

Make sure to put some loctite on that tin nut when you install it back in.
