Maybe a prodigy p2 issue

I have had my p2 in me x for about a year. Sometime but no often I can see through my window that my p2 display flashing NC. Note this could be after a day or two of not touching the x or it could be a week or more. It does go to sleep about 20 min after the x was turned off, but then turns on and flashes NC. All other functions work great. I called customer service and they said I could send it back if wanted. What are your thoughts. I also thought about installing an inline switch for the extended time in between tows.

what does NC stand for according to them?

Not connected. It shouldn't wake it self up after sitting though.

First I would open the 7 way and verify all wires are good and crud/rust hasn't started in there.... if all was good, return it.
