Driveshaft question

So i got my sduty springs ordered, now im on to thing in line. When the 205 was put in this truck they left the front driveshaft was left out because the cv hit the tranny pan. Can i just use a single ujoint or do i need to swap trannys for one with a longer tailshaft and adapter?

are you running a divorced Tcase in it? I guess I'm kinda lost on why it would be hitting the tranny pan.
If your not running a huge lift ditch the CV all together & go with a normal U joint.

No its married. But it has the short adapter. And with that adapter the cv hits the corner of the tranny pan.

If it was a full time 4x4 originally it would have had the short tail C6. You don't have to have a CV in the front shaft.

I was wondering about that after looking at both my 76 with a 203 & my 77 with a 205 last nite. yeah I always like to get the adaptor with the Tcase when I buy one.
I have a 8 inch lift under my 77 SWB and I dont have a CV in the front or rear.

I guess adapters dont really matter when you have the wrong tranny lol. Thanks mark. Im only running a 6 inch lift so looks like ill just run a ujoint.
