How much clearance is needed between the transmission pan and drive line? When I got the truck the front drive line was in the bed. I rebuilt the front axle and drive line. Had to get a new yoke for the transfer case for the drive line to match up. I haven't got it in yet but when I was trying to get it in with the wrong yoke it looked like the CV joint was going to hit the transmission pan or have very little clearance between them. So is there something to do to get more clearance or should it be OK.
Are u using a single joint or a double cardan? Did you get the correct yoke? What size is the yoke?
How long of an adapter is between the trans and the t-case? The short adapter and auto trans will not accomodate anything larger than a 1310 joint. Maybe a 1330 can squeeze in there, but 1350's wont clear the pan, and forget about a 1410, or even the 1480 bad boy. With any luck you have the longer adapter. If the truck came with an auto and it was not swapped in, then you probably have the right one.
Clearance is tight, but a small double cardan or 1310 joint will fit.
Again, the 1330 might go, but it is gonna be tight.
have you any pics of the combo that you are using?
