Question Front driveshaft binding?

Ok, I did the NP205 swap, made a new front driveshaft, and now CV joint hits the corner of the tranny pan. Not so bad to where it won't turn, but it scrapes it pretty bad.

Is there anything that could be done to prevent/fix this?
Longer transfer case yoke? Small CV joint?
Any ideas?

Any way to clearance (grinder!) the pan or the joint without compromising the strength of either? My driveshaft rubs my header now that I've lifted it/been wheelin it pretty hard. I don't think its too much of a problem though.

my solution was a 203 doubler

im sure you could swap to a 1310 cv joint

I used the short C6 adapter. I had problems with the driver's side frame mount fitting too.

I could try using a 1310 cv joint, but then the u joint on the driveshaft side would still rub, and now I'd have a even weaker joint(which I got rid of after the first time it broke).

Grinding..... I did a little.
I bearly took anything off of the driveshaft, and took the rolled lip off of the pan, and now I'm at the point now where it rubs bad.

It's just one thing after another.
Thanks for the ideas so far.

i'm sorry man, i meant long one. you need the long adapter. i had the EXACT same problem when i swapped my 205 in my white truck. i used the short one and quickly realized the CV head hit the C6 pan enough to cause issues.

I had tryed doing the swap with the long adapter, but figured out I would need a longer tail shaft, so I got a short adapter to try and fix the problem. Wish I would of know that before I made new driveshafts...

Ok, so a long adapter would fix this problem? IF so, then where would I bolt the frame bracket too(are there more holes in the frame it'll fit)?

Now...Either look for a parts truck I can use to swap everything or look for another truck and sell this one(I don't think I can change the tail shaft)?!#%&**

Wouldn't I run into a problem with the tranny crossmember. It's already a tight squeaze there. Only good thing about this is I already have the 203 range box.
How much are the adapters running now?
I looked a while back, and remember $715ish, but heard they went down.

That's about $500 more than I feel like spending right now, but any way... Did that include the shifter and everything?(b/c for that price I only remember the adapter).
Before I do this, I might try the 1310 cv joint, even though it will be a waste of time.

Thanks alot of the help and comments.
