White Smoke 2003 Ford F350
Hey fellas. I have a 2003 Ford F350 Superduty 6.0 Diesel. Recently it started producing white smoke. It doesn't smell sweet like antifreeze, it's more like a putrid, chemical burning smell. However, in contrast, the truck runs great - occasionally has a miss but few and far between. My fiance did some research and thought it may be due to the EGR and Oil cooler. He purchased an EGR delete kit and replaced the oil cooler. He also did a pressure test and it passed with flying colors. However, when we started the truck up again, it produced as much or even more white smoke than before. I've been looking through some of the forums and some members say it is a headgasket problem and others say it's not. I don't know much about trucks, but I'm trying to get some knowledge before I head down to the mechanic so I don't get ripped off. If anyone can help and suggest any other possible problems, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much!
