It's not just '20/'21 models. That problem has been seen in 2017 models too. Not mine though. (I just jinxed myself, didn't I?)
I like the trucks with the nice leather seats, nice interior, etc. I.E. higher end trucks, but they all have this hi-tech crap that is somewhat useless but adds to the cost.
NEED a camera to hook to a 5th wheel or gooseball?????? Mirrors and eyeballs work great for me anyway. OK, rant over. Have a fine day.

Too many electronic nanny gadgets on these newer vehicles. Just finished detailing the wife's Highlander that has a lot of useless gadgets on it. Temps should hit the mid 70's this evening so I'll be out there washing Goldilocks and that may be a 2 or 3 hr job.
Gerry...I like the last picture!!
I know, a lot of folks seem to get along with some of this new tech stuff just fine. I see a lot of it being over-rated and actually make more work that just doing things old skool!
When I back a trailer, the most help I ever need is for someone to watch and make sure I don’t back over something.....I will put the trailer where I want it without someone pointing and waving their arms and hands. But on the other hand, don’t ask me to give directions to someone else backing a trailer either......I will have them totally screwed!
Having a camera to hook up a trailer with a ball eliminates me getting out of the truck and looking at least twice. I don't find the cameras particularly useful for backing a trailer. I do like the feature that certain brands of trucks have that shows the blindspot side mirror camera view when you put on the turn signal while towing a trailer.
Another beautiful day on the north coast, 68 and sunny. Road trip to our southern estate tomorrow. Back to temperature reality on the weekend.

I had a couple months to try out the CHMSL Camera when hooking up to the Gooseneck. As mention not enough clarity. Either glare or shadows distorts the image to where it worthless. Now after 6 weeks of waiting for my Tonneau cover, It blocks the camera so I can't see the ball. I find I'm better served by putting two 2x4's on the ground in a "L" shape and backing my rear tires in the crook of the "L" When the tire hits the back 2x4 I know I'm far enough back and if I held it tight to side of the 2x4 and I know I'm good R&L. It's a whole lot faster than trying to zoom in and out with the camera. Neat idea from Ford, but it just doesn't have the resolution to work.
Andre I will never use that back up **** on my dash, nor will I ever take the time to set up my trailers to work with it.. I started to read the instructions to set that up, And quickly disgarded it think. It's just easier to back the trailer up than to try and set that up.
Now my tailgate camera I use every day to back into my garage. But even it, I have to hit the screen and change from the split window view to the whole screen view to get enough detail to see where I'm going . Maybe the 2022 trucks with a 12" scree will cure that. But I ain't trading trucks to just to get a bigger screen.
