No snow blowers in my shed to break down! Rebuild on the primary clutch for the RZR went good. Works like a new one again. There were a couple guys that actually paid attention when I assembled it! The rest, not so much.
On to the next project, install electric, remote control gate opener. It is waiting for me in town right now. It is a 24V battery operated, complete with solar charger. I just need to get two 12V batteries and hook them up in series to operate it.
Andre, your RZR looks great. Enjoy.
All have a fine day.
How did you pull the clutch? Are you a bread guy? grease? puller?

Andre, primary clutches are threaded in side, get a puller like this, tighten it up then tap the end with a hammer,

I use a puller. Screw it in to bottom, then bump it a bit with my 1/2” rattle gun and it pops right off.

I use the bread method...it works pretty good. I bet you thought I was kidding when I said bread or grease...lol. Grease does the exact same thing it's just messy. Bread is easier to clean up.

Hi guys.

Oregon Jim, Sorry to hear about the shingles and the leg troubles.

Somewhere south of Denver Jim, A broke down snowblower with 20" of snow doesn't sound fun, Bummer dude, I hope it's an easy fix.

For ATV clutches, I use a clutch puller bolt also, but I can see where the bread thing would work in an emergency.

The snowblower is alive!!! I started looking at the service manual and the uninstall of the transmission was looking really nasty. Way more involved that I expected. I looked up a transmission assembly and found it for the low cost of only $595. I started poking around and found a thread that talked about my exact problem. The seals on the transmission axle had come out. The "fix" is to just push them back in. I did that and refilled/bled the "special" Honda hydrostatic fluid. It's working OK. I do wonder what caused the seals to blow though.

Congrats Jim! Worry about the seals when the weather turns warmer.

I brought up the idea of trading it in on a new model to my wife this afternoon. There was no shriek of anguish, but she's real good at suffering silently. So I'm not sure where I stand on that.

Where you live, having a spare snow blower is not a bad idea!

Not enough storage space for two of the same. Though my wife did say a smaller one would be nice. I'm not buying a 2 cycle snowblower. They're way too stinky. The battery powered ones are starting to look decent. Though I would want one that uses Dewalt batteries so I don't have a set of different brand batteries sitting around doing nothing.
