"down" your driveway?
the trans should shift going downhill without even touching the throttle if it rolls downhill fast enough.no rpms required at all.
how's the speedo and tach readings?
Ok heres what i ended up . 1.21 and 4.33. Test drive from stop at about half throttle it shifts at 2800-3000rpms and staying there o n the peddle it shifts into overdrive at 60 and the rpms are about 2500. The hard shifts are different but atleast its shifting and down shifting. Honestly i liked the first reading that i ended up with.....that was 1.02 and 4.13 or so. But either are leaps and bounds above wthe performace it had before talking to you guys.Do you think that I should get another tps or maybe borrow a good meyer and see if there are dead spots. Is that what I would be testing for. Also is the WOT number of 4,5 pretty much the highest achiveable voltage.

this is my beef with the TPS. if you want a nice firm shift(who doesn't?) then you need to up the voltage of the TPS. well upping the voltage also makes the engine rev farther before it shifts. the way i see it, if you use anything more than 1/2 throttle then you would be easily taking the engine into yellow line on the tach(starts @ 3400rpm IIRC). so in other words you can no longer use more than 1/2 throttle.
when i had my tps set to "factory specs" it was not even considering shifting into O/D @ 55mph. it would take probly 65 mph. if i just maintained throttle position at 55mph it wouldn't go into od. the only way i could get it into o/d at 55 was to totally let off the throttle. i would frequently look down and the tach was touching yellow line. i don't know if something is wrong with my engine, trans, or what but i CAN NOT use anything less than 1/2 throttle to get up to speed, unless of course i am in traffic and they are moving slow.
i just don't like the tps b/c you supposedly can dial in two different "personalities" let's say, of the transmission. when ever i have adjusted the tps i ALWAYS have to sacrifice one thing, either shift feel or shift timing. i would rather a softer shift than revving way out so i go that route.
