I have a 99 f350 with a 7.3 diesel with about 235000. It runs fine for about 5 miles or so then acts like it is running out of fuel and then finally stalls. If i let it sit for a short time it will start and run again for a mile or so. I have changed fuel filter, fuel pump, camshaft sensor, air cleaner, and high pressure oil sensor. Can some one please help me?
I dont know any one with a computer and unless i get it towed to the ford shop it will probably take me a couple of hours to go 20 miles. The engine light hasnt even kicked on at all
Just so you are not doing nothing about this. Jump up on the engine and take that connection off the drivers valve cover with a 10mm socket. Look under the wires to see if any are chaffed from rubbing on the VC.
