Hot Shot's Secret | Diesel Engine Oil Additive

Anybody heard of this or used it? Says it was developed for International specifically.

 

nevermind, I did a search in the 6.0 forum and found quite a bit of reading on it.

 

NO additives in 7.3 crankcase!!

 

I saw this on Truck U on tv a couple weeks ago. I use diesel kleen. Yea, I know DK is for the fuel and not the oil.

 

I used it in my 7.3 about 3months ago I have increased fuel mileage, it is quieter,starts easier, and just seems to run better .... I love it

 

I've been running it at every oil change for about a year now. Injectors are quieter,and idles smoother

 

When I do an oil change I vacuum out the HPOP reservoir then add the Hot Shot and finish filling the crankcase with my fresh oil.
My injectors appear to be in fine shape. No real reason not to continue this use.

 

It's mainly intended for the 6.0, but works wonders in a low or high mileage 7.3.

I first ran it December 2008 with impressive results: Quieter injectors, better fuel economy, easier, faster starts. When I had splits, I ran some every spring and again in the fall right before winter set in and it made quite a difference with the amount of miles I drive.

Many in the 7.3 crowd think it's snake oil and say that you shouldn't ever run an additive, but this is most definitely one I'd recommend.

 

That's because when it was a new product a representative came to this forum claiming it would cure everything from impotence to baldness with a money back guarantee, then when folks didn't see results all of a sudden they wouldn't talk to anybody asking about a refund.

 

I run Diesel Kleen in my fuel from time to time and it seems to quiet down my injectors, so I wonder what added benefit this stuff would provide? By adding something to the oil, I would be reaching the oil side of the injector that the fuel never sees, correct?
